A Day at Cocoon

Every Hour Has a Purpose

We are Nagpur's only curriculum-based daycare — which means your child's day is never left to chance.

Most daycares keep children occupied. At Cocoon, we keep them engaged.

Our 100% Active Child Curriculum is built around six foundational developmental domains, each woven naturally into the rhythm of a child’s day through play, activity, story, movement, and meals.

What Is a Curriculum-Based Daycare?

A curriculum-based daycare structures each day around specific developmental goals — fine motor skills, language, social-emotional growth — rather than simply supervising children until parents return. At Cocoon, this means every activity, meal, and play session is intentionally designed around one of six skill areas, delivered consistently at both our Besa and Somalwada centres.

THE SIX PILLARS OF LEARNING

Fine Motor Skills

Building the foundations of writing, creativity, and precision
Through activities like threading beads, clay modelling, tearing and pasting, drawing, and using child-safe tools, we develop the small muscles of the hands and fingers — skills that directly support writing readiness and creative expression.

Gross Motor Skills

Strong bodies, confident movers
Outdoor play, obstacle courses, dance, yoga, and movement games build core strength, balance, and body awareness. Children who move well, learn well.

Sensory Play

Learning through all five senses
Sand, water, textures, sounds, and smells — sensory play is not "just play." It is one of the most powerful ways toddlers process the world, regulate their emotions, and build cognitive connections.

Social & Emotional Skills

Kind hearts and confident voices
In our small-group setting, children naturally learn to take turns, share, resolve conflict, and express their feelings. These are the life skills that no textbook can teach — and no life can succeed without.

Bilateral Coordination

Both hands working together
Cutting with scissors, clapping patterns, catching a ball, and threading activities all develop the brain's ability to coordinate both sides of the body — a critical milestone for reading and writing readiness.

Sanskar & Cultural Values

Where Education Meets संस्कार
Daily temple visits and culturally grounded activities ensure that as our children grow in knowledge, they also grow in values. We believe an educated child and a good human being are not separate goals — they are one.

Why curriculum based Day-care matters

Research consistently shows that children who receive structured, intentional early childhood education have:

At Cocoon, we give your child this advantage — not when they start school, but from the very day they join us.
