A Day in the Life at Cocoon Daycare, Somalwada

Just like our Besa centre, our Somalwada centre runs on the same curriculum-based approach, though with its own rhythm and community. Here is a general look at how a day unfolds for children at Cocoon Somalwada.

Morning Arrival and Settling In

Children arrive across a gradual window rather than all at once, with staff greeting each child individually to help ease the transition into the day, especially important for children still adjusting to daycare.

Structured Activity Blocks

The day is built around our six core skill areas, fine motor, gross motor, sensory play, social-emotional development, bilateral coordination, and sanskar and values, delivered through play, guided activities, and story time appropriate to each age group.

Meals and Rest

Nutritious meals are served through the day, with rest periods built in appropriately by age, recognising that younger children need more frequent downtime than older preschoolers.

Real-Time Updates for Parents

Parents receive updates throughout the day on their child’s activities and wellbeing, keeping the hours apart from feeling disconnected, particularly valuable during the early weeks of settling in.

End of Day

The Somalwada centre operates Monday through Saturday, 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, closed on Sundays, with a calm, consistent process for pickup.

The best way to understand a day at Cocoon Somalwada is to visit in person. Visit our Somalwada centre page, or book a tour.
